Nick, the founder, has been cutting hair for over 50 years. He started barbering in Italy when he was in the army, he moved to Ottawa and opened his own barbershop. Nick is still working at the shop, now run by his son Gino. Gino has been working alongside his father for over 25 years.

 

From famous hockey players such as Dean McAmmond and Matt Bradley to political representatives, including Pierre Poilievre and Scott Moffatt, Nick and Gino have clients from the local community extending to all regions of Ottawa and beyond. Ottawa snowbirds wait to come home because they will only get their haircut at Nick’s.  Clients have been going to the shop since they were children, now have children of their own that also come for a hair cut.   Gino has been a part of so many special first haircut moments, opens his shop extra early for groomsmen to get a fresh cut and hot shave. Gino is so loyal to his customers that he often travels out to cut hair for the ill who can no longer leave their homes.

 

Both Nick and Gino’s dedication to their business and customers have awarded them with many friends, and in turn, their hard work and passion for the community have enriched all that they know.
